The material found on this site will serve as a resource for the physics classes taught at Boulder Creek High School. We will tackle learning from many different angles. The majority of class time will be spent on direct instruction, guided practice, independent practice, laboratory activities, and peer-to-peer teaching. Providing students with web access to class notes, homework assignments, and video tutorials are a few of the many strategies used to help students achieve success.
With the resources now available on-line, students anywhere in the world can master the concepts that are covered in a first year physics course. I expect students to use the resources on this site and resources on the internet to supplement in-class and at home learning. There is little to no excuse for not mastering the material given the resources available.
When searching for material on this site, use the drop down menu on the various tabs to find the appropriate content. There is a great deal of overlap between the General Education Physics and AP Physics 1 curriculum. Unless otherwise indicated, all materials can be used to further a student's understanding regardless of the course title. Please see Mr. Barker if you have any questions regarding the navigation of this site.
